about

Pets are family, too.

Okinawa's blue sky, soft breeze, and the sound of the waves.

Let's capture their happiest face in that scenery.

HITOHASHI Photo Studio is a small studio in Yomitan Village, Okinawa.

We live with dogs and cats ourselves, so we know how precious time with a pet is.

We never force a pose.

At the distance where your pet feels safest, we gently capture their everyday gaze.

flow

How it works

So your pet can relax, even on their first session.
Here's how it goes, step by step.

  1. STEP01

    Get in touch on LINE

Message us on LINE with your pet's type, how many, and your preferred date. Visiting from outside Okinawa? You're welcome too.

  2. STEP02

    Plan the date & place

We'll talk through where to shoot — home, beach, park — and find a place where your pet feels calm.

  3. STEP03

On the day — saying hello

The first 10 minutes or so let your pet get used to the photographer and the place — sniffing around, a few treats. Once they're comfortable, we begin.

  4. STEP04

    The session — a gentle 60 minutes

We rarely direct poses. We capture the usual play and the moments with family, natural gaze and all.

  5. STEP05

    Delivery — within a week

We edit each photo by hand — colour and brightness — and send a download link. Okinawa's light and your pet's expressions, finished softly.

What to bring
& good to know

To help your pet feel at ease on the day,
it helps to bring the following.

  • Lead / harness (usually kept on during the shoot)
  • Favourite toys or a familiar blanket
  • Treats / food (great for keeping their focus)
  • Water, a bowl, and toilet supplies
  • A towel (for mess at the beach or park)
  • A carrier (a safe space, especially for cats)
  • Vaccination certificate (only for public-facility shoots)

If your pet isn't feeling well on the day,
please don't hesitate to ask to reschedule.
We always go at a comfortable pace.

faq

FAQ

QCan you photograph multiple pets?
AYes — multiple pets are very welcome. Just tell us the number and types when you book, and we'll adjust the order and spacing on the day so everyone stays calm.
QCan you photograph large dogs?
AAbsolutely. If you'd love shots of them running freely, an on-location session at a spacious beach or park in Okinawa is ideal.
QCan you photograph cats?
AOf course. Since cats can be nervous in unfamiliar places, a session at home or another calm spot works best. A carrier and a familiar blanket help them settle.
QCan we give treats during the shoot?
APlease do bring some. Familiar treats are the best way to hold their focus and bring out happy faces.
QCan you travel beyond the main island?
AAnywhere within Okinawa, including the remote islands. For the islands a separate travel fee applies, so please message us on LINE in advance.
QDo we need a vaccination certificate?
ANot for shoots at home, but for public beaches, parks or facilities we may need to show one in line with the venue's rules.
QCan you photograph senior or rescue animals?
AOf course. Age and background make no difference to preserving the days you've shared. We can suggest shorter sessions or a shoot at home to be gentle on their energy.

to everyone around us.
